Installation

iRConfig will run from any directory. If iRacing is not installed in the default directory, iRConfig will prompt  you for its location.

Place the Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.DLL (included) in the same directory as iRConfig.exe.

Place the oneminute.wav and fiveminutes.wav files (included) in the My Documents\iRConfig directory. (Create the directory if it doesn't exist.)

Tip: If iRConfig has trouble locating the iRacing program directory, place iRConfig.exe and the PowerPacks DLL in the same directory you installed iRacing to.

Command Line Switches

You may combine more than one switch on the command line. To use, create a shortcut, right-click, choose 'Properties', then add the switch(s) at the end of the 'Target' field.

Using iRConfig

The iRacing tab takes you to the iRacing.com members site. You will need to login to your iRacing account in order to use the Autoloader and Test Drive features. You do not need to login to edit iRacing settings or modify profiles. iRConfig does not require nor records your ID or password.

iRacing settings may be changed on the Graphics, Sound, and Misc tabs. All changes made are immediately saved to the appropriate iRacing INI file, either in the My Documents\iRacing directory for the *base config*, or in the My Documents\iRConfig\[profile-name] directory for additional profiles, based on the current profile showing Profiles dropdown (lower left).

Please not that the *base config* is not an actual profile. It is the current group of settings that iRacing will use when next launched. It's contents will change based on what profile get's autolaunched. If you make changes to the *base config* and want them to last past the next autolaunch, you will need to save them to a new profile. Changes made within iRacing will also change the *base config*. If you are not using the autolaunch feature and want a profile to take effect on next iRacing launch, you will need to choose that profile in the dropdown and click the Set as *base config* button.
